Eclipse Net has innovated a distinct PUSH Module solution, enabling cameras to establish direct connections to the cloud, effectively sidestepping security vulnerabilities.
Our straightforward Plug and Play surveillance setup simplifies the process for customers, requiring only the camera to be plugged into a router. This seamless approach streamlines cloud migration and deployment for both new and pre-existing installations.
This configuration is exceptionally secure and dependable, eliminating the need for intermediate servers or exposing the camera to the internet via port forwarding. Furthermore, authorized IT personnel can temporarily access Plug and Play IP cameras over an encrypted tunnel for maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring comprehensive security and reliability.
The Eclipse Net PUSH module initiates an outbound 443 TCP connection to the cloud upon startup. Unlike P2P servers, the PUSH module is designed to be compatible with ISPs and firewalls.
This module establishes a secure, encrypted tunnel between the camera and the cloud, utilizing TLS with AES 256 encryption. Both metadata and video streams are fully safeguarded from the moment the camera captures video to the instant you access it through the Eclipse Net video/admin portal.
The Eclipse Net PUSH module is engineered with optimized CPU and memory requirements, ensuring that cameras can run all available edge analytics without overheating. There is no need to expose public IPs or ports to access the edge device.
To maintain security, no alterations are made to the firmware of the edge device, thereby avoiding potential security vulnerabilities. The Eclipse Net PUSH module is installed as an add-on on top of the firmware, facilitating the connection of cameras to the Eclipse Net Pure Cloud Platform.
Additionally, the module includes an option to fully lock-in a camera. In this scenario, the camera would be exclusively accessible through the cloud, with no local access possible.
For maintenance and troubleshooting, a PUSH Proxy server is available to generate a temporary URL, allowing access to the edge device's Web UI through the cloud.
Furthermore, there's an option to prevent the removal of the Eclipse Net PUSH module, even in cases of camera firmware changes, factory resets, or unauthorized tampering. For more details, please contact us at support@eclipsecctv.net
